Just came over from your comment at Digby's to say that, from the other side of the (poorly-named) Pacific, it's good to see various USians making cause against some of the terrible things that are happening, or look like happening fairly soon. We here in Oz tend to follow the USA, so my concern is not just about Other People's Problems. (We have, from luck or care, very few casualties from our forces in Iraq.)
Also, long years ago, I shared house with a band who wrote down & learnt cover song lyrics by careful repeated group listening. That was one of the songs; it's one that survived the listenings, and I still enjoy hearing it. So thanks for reminding me of it.
